About Us
The Sanibel School Fund (SSF) is a non-profit, and is a designated fund of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, which is also a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
The Sanibel School Fund (SSF) was established in 2002 as a fundraising arm of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, a registered 501(c)(3). Its purpose is to provide enrichment programs to the students at The Sanibel School. Since 2019, SSF's main focus has been the development of a world-class STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) program at The Sanibel School. Our STEAM curriculum is designed to cultivate a passion for the STEAM disciplines and lay the educational foundation for a broad swath of careers, including in solar power, computer engineering, flight, biomedical sciences, space exploration, agriculture, marine biology, and more.
