Meet Our Teacher
Mrs. Peggy Stamper
Mrs. Stamper joins The Sanibel School for the 2026-2027 school as the new STEAM teacher. She brings with her a deep love of Florida’s natural resources and a hunger to learn about Sanibel Island. She grew up on a farm in Indiana, studied at Prudue, and relocated to Fort Myers in 2013. She has been a teacher in Lee County Public Schools for 13 years and has experience from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. She mostly recently taught 3rd to 5th grade STEM at Pelican Elementary . In her free time she enjoys visiting Florida State Parks with her husband, who is also a teacher in Lee County, and their Australian Shepard.
A Message From Mrs. Stamper
I am looking forward to a year full of growth as we investigate our environment, explore Florida’s natural resources from our backyard to the Everglades, and help our garden grow.
I am looking forward to for volunteers for the garden and guest speakers that tie into our curriculum. If you are interested in getting involved please complete the volunteer form through The School District of Lee County and register with the front office at The Sanibel School.
